A native of Pennsylvania\, McCright now resides in Minneapolis\, Minnesota and is a member of the piano faculty of Carleton College. An accomplished recording artist\, McCright has released five solo recordings: three albums on innova Records (Second Childhood\, A Waltz through the Vapor\, andBlender)\, a 2011 release of the piano works of Gene Gutchë on Centaur Records and a 2015 release on Albany Records of the piano music of Olivier Messiaen. DESCRIPTION:Dylan McKinstry\, a Minnesota raised multi-instrumentalist\, composer\, improviser and song-writer\, is\, both literally and figuratively\, dextrous. He’s a veritable Swiss Army knife of styles and skills\, performing in an eclectic range of musical settings that has continued to span many genres. As a soloist\, ensemble player\, composer\, and arranger\, he has worked on film scores\, collaborations with theater and dance companies in Minneapolis\, New York\, and Boston\, and performed his original music across the country. When Dylan plays\, his music\, both curious and deeply thoughtful\, has been hailed by The Boston Globe as “effecting a sublime transformation”. He has worked and shared a stage with incredible musicians like Pierre Bensusan\, Don Ross\, Joe Morris\, John Zorn\, Meredith Monk\, and Ran Blake\, as well as performing as an esteemed soloist with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and the Sonoma Country philharmonic\, where he was awarded the young Artist Award. DESCRIPTION:The Mischlinge Exposé focuses on the complexities of being neither Jewish nor Aryan in Nazi Germany and before\, using beautiful music and original video to illustrate the struggle between assimilation and cultural identity. \nAfter the Nuremberg laws imposed labels on so many human beings\, were they still able to choose their paths? Carolyn’s Mischlinge Exposé weaves a multimedia tapestry around a little-known aspect of the Holocaust: the Mischlinge (a derogatory Nazi term for those neither fully Jewish nor fully Aryan). In addition to an active performance schedule\, Ms. Enger has enjoyed remarkable success as a recording artist\, particularly with her 2013 release of piano music by Ned Rorem on Naxos Records. Renowned critic Laurence Vittes wrote in his review for Gramophone ​ (2/2014): “Enger raises the miniatures to a higher level by taking the time and care to capture the emotional impact each must have had when their dedicatees read their inscription and title\, and then heard the music for the first time.” The album was selected as one of the “Best in Classical Recordings” by The New York Times: \nAmong the 90th-birthday tributes this year to the essential American composer Ned Rorem\, this recording especially stands out. The fine pianist Carolyn Enger plays Mr. Rorem’s complete Piano Album I\, published in 2003\, a collection of tender yet pungent miniatures written for friends\, intimates and personal occasions from 1978 to 2001. ​ -Anthony Tommasini\, 12/2013 \nMs. Enger’s latest creation\, The Mischlinge Exposé\, ​ pays tribute to her father\, Horst Joachim Enger\, who survived forced labor and the Holocaust as a Mischling in Germany. Presenting classical recitals across the city\, Second City Winds incorporates music composed in a wide range of time periods and styles. He has received degrees from Northwestern University\, Queensland Conservatorium\, and the University of Kansas\, and was awarded a research fellowship to Institute Fabrica. Currently\, Hills is an active performer\, composer\, and recording artist in Los Angeles\, as well as a member of the Grammy-nominated Los Angeles Percussion Quartet. \nAn advocate of new music\, Hills has individually commissioned and premiered over 85 new works for percussion. He has given solo and chamber recitals across Europe\, Australia\, The United States\, Mexico\, and China. These include a featured performance for the International Society of Improvised Music\, the Days of New Music Festival in Chisinau\, Moldova\, the Queensland Music Festival\, the Ravello Concert Festival\, the Venice Art Biennale\, four PASIC conventions\, the Morelia Percussion Festival\, and Festival Mozaic. An advocate for percussion as an artistic discipline\, Hills has been the artist-in-residence at Rocky Mountain National Park\, Conservatorio de Las Rosas\, and a fellow at the OMI international artist’s colony. \nPercussive Storytelling\, a program that brings classical music and storytelling to kids in fun and accessible ways\, was launched by Hills while a fellow at Institute Fabrica. The program recently marked its 430th performance\, and has reached more than 80\,000 children in eight countries. For this work\, Hills has been the recipient of numerous arts grants\, and was named the 2009 Emerging Artist through the Kansas Arts Commission. The Lost Bicycle\, Hills’ debut solo CD of percussive stories\, has received four national parenting and creative arts awards (NAPPA Parent’s Awards Gold\, Parent’s Choice Silver\, World Storytelling Honors Award\, and a Creative Child preferred choice). In June 2015\, The Lost Bicycle was released as a fully illustrated children’s book published by AcutebyDesign. Their 2017 Midwest Tour is an audio-visual journey into the existential mind-state of the Tibetan beast\, the Yak. These sounds are tailor-made for the shaggy beast of burden of the Himalayan Plateau\, evoking their life and spirit in a mesmerising structured improvisation cycle. \nYuri Popowycz is a Detroit-based violinist\, electronic music producer/performer\, and illustrator. He performs with the Michigan Opera Theatre and is assistant concertmaster with the Michigan Philharmonic. He also plays out frequently in the city and is active with Detroit Bureau of Sound. Yuri is a graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy ‘11\, and the Oberlin Conservatory ‘15\, and has toured in Japan as concertmaster of the PMF orchestra as well as performed in Europe alongside the Jack quartet with the Lucerne Festival Academy. Currently he runs the ambient music label Music To Stretch To and enjoys working with all the wonderful artists living nearby. \nZac Brunell is a performer and concert producer in the Motor City. As director of the Detroit Bureau of Sound\, his work engulfs a range of avant garde music through his productions\, which have been described as “sounding as raw as mating bull elephants” (Lansing City Pulse on “X is for Xenakis”). As a vocal collaborative artist she attended the 2014 University of Miami’s Frost School of Music Summer Program in Salzburg\, Austria where she and duo partner Kacey Kurpinsky received honorable mention in the Schloss Mirabell competition. Ms. Conde has performed in Master Classes by Nelson Delle – Vigne Fabbri\, James Giles\, Enrico Elisi\, Mutsumi Moteki\, Francois Germain\, the Escher String Quartet\, and more. Currently a sought after collaborative pianist\, and in pursuit of furthering her performing career\, she also teaches privately and strives to develop genuine love for music in the younger generation. Ms. Conde currently resides in Chicago\, Illinois.

His music is mostly performed by a dedicated community of friends and musicians (amongst others Philip Thomas\, Anton Lukoszevieze\, Julia Eckhardt\, James Saunders)\, but he has also written for the London Sinfonietta\, the Basle Sinfonietta\, Plus Minus and others. He has organised many public concerts to promote the presence\, wealth and variety of present day music exploration\, one thread of which is the concert series\, Music We’d Like to Hear\, co-curated with John Lely and Markus Trunk annually in London since 2005. As a soloist he has performed with Object Collection\, Skögen\, Apartment House\, Set Ensemble\, Incidental Music\, Q-02\, J.G. Thirlwell\, Phill Niblock\, Matteo Fargion\, Lee Patterson\, Angharad Davies\, Rhodri Davies\, Jürg Frey\, Michael Pisaro\, Michael Parsons\, Gavin Bryars\, Joshua Rifkin\, Tom Johnson\, and Christian Wolff\, amongst others. \nHis music has been labelled as experimental\, “reconstructing music from the ground up”\, and “sounding like nothing else”\, the work invariably returning to fundamental questions around the meaning of sound.
